From the Chairman:
Thanks all our Managers and Coaches for their voluntary work.
Special thank you to 3 ladies who work extremely hard in the background, they ensure your club is maintained financially, players are registered as they should be and the clubs teams are administered properly to maintain not only the clubs credibility, but also to retain its Charter Standard bi-annually.
Treasurer - Hayley Massie -
Reg Secretary - Jackie Warnock -
General Secretary - Tracey Ager.
So once again, youre commended by the County FA for your behavior on and off the field of play! Thanks Players and Parents....
We all enjoy ourselves! As well as the old experienced hands!
We have some very welcome new faces have come on board to support the club and the WWYFC ethos, this Club. Its more than Football! Its Fun, Its Enjoyment, New Friends, renewed friends. Some who live on the doorstep, some that travel further to home games than the away matches!!!
But more than this It's vitally important to be encouraging the youth community of which well over 100 now have come along and become involved in football at West Wratting.
This season we've taken a look at how we have evolved during past seasons, Jamie Comer came to me pre season with a plan, which we've implemented and brought Nick Ager on board to form what has been a very successful 3 block course for the 'Wratting Nippers - under 6's who will become a friendly under 7s team for season 2011-12.
Paul Santry and Mark Cridge have now built up the u7s team who will be entering at u8 Mini Soccer League level next season.
This season a total of Six Youth teams competed in leagues this term with under 9s and under 10s finishing top half in their Mini Soccer Leagues - Under 11s who play 9v9 finishing runners up after topping their respective league for the past 2 seasons.
In the Colts section the u13s finished a satisfying 8th, the actual progress was by the way in which the current management retained and improved the teams togetherness after previous management suddenly stepped down in December 2010.
Our Under 14s finished runners up and gained a promotion to A League Colts Soccer, their 3rd successive promotion, now into A League.
Last but by no means least come the under 15s, this team have played A League soccer for 5 seasons and this is by far the toughest campaign yet, the team finished just outside the top 3 in 4th place which is a massive achievement.
Congratulations to all our players, we all look forward to 2011-12 Season, your club is great and its well run because you are all involved! Well done!
